This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains the privacy practices of Technofocus ("we," "us" or "our") and how we handle personal information that we collect through our digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy, including our website (the "Site"), as well as through social media and marketing activities. Please read this Policy carefully. European users should read our 'Notice to European Users' section in this policy. This policy affects your legal rights and obligations so please read it carefully. When we refer to "you," "your" or "User," we are referencing the individual user of our website. References in this policy to "Customers," means an entity or organization that contracts with us to provide a product or service to an end user of a product or service.

OUR COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The information we collect depends upon your interactions with us and your internet browser settings. We collect, process, store and use personal data when you book a seat in an event and buy any of our associated products and services to an event including your name, address and email address together with payment information. We may also collect personal data that you give to us about other people if you register them to attend an event. You agree that you have notified any other person whose personal data that you provide to us of this privacy notice and, where necessary, obtained their consent so that we can lawfully process their personal data in accordance with this policy.

Personal information we collect includes:

  • Contact data, such as your first and last name, email address, mailing address, home and work telephone number, company name, job title, work mailing address, facsimile number, and other similar contact information.
  • Demographic information, such as your age, gender, country and preferred speaking language.
  • Profile data, such as login credentials, including your user ID, password and any other pertinent security details, which are necessary to authenticate and provide you with access to our Site.
  • Marketing data, such as your preferences for receiving our marketing communications and details about your engagement with them, information you share when you sign up for special offers, or information you share when you complete a survey.
  • User-generated content
  • Communications that we exchange with you, including when you contact us with questions or feedback.
  • Data about others. Users of the Site may have the opportunity to refer friends or other contacts to us and share their contact information with us. Please do not refer someone to us or share their contact information with us unless you have their permission to do so.
  • Device data, such as your device type, the name of the internet browser you use to browse our website, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, geolocation data including global positioning system data, network name, and internet or telecommunication services provider name.

All personal data that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate. If you provide us with inaccurate or false data, and we suspect or identify fraud, we will record this.

You do not need to provide us with any personal data to view our event ticket shop. However, we may still collect the information set under the Data we automatically collect section of this policy, and marketing communications in accordance with the Marketing Communications section of this policy.

When you contact us by email or post, we may keep a record of the correspondence and we may also record any telephone call we have with you.

Data we automatically collect

When you visit our event ticket shop, we, or third parties on our behalf, automatically collect and store information about your device and your activities. This information could include:

  • Your computer or other device's unique ID number
  • Technical information about your device such as type of device, web browser or operating system
  • Your preferences and settings such as time zone and language
  • Statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns

We collect this information using cookies in accordance with the Cookie section of this policy and we use the information we collect on an anonymous basis to improve our event ticket shop, our events and the products and services we provide, and for analytical and research purposes.

Cookies

Our LMS Site (https:learn.technofocus.co) utilizes cookies. When you use our Site we will collect information from and store cookies on your computer in order to optimize your user experience by showing you new and relevant content based upon your prior browsing history on our website. A cookie is a small data text file, which a website stores on your computer’s hard drive (if your internet browser permits) that can later be retrieved to identify you to us. Our cookies store a randomly assigned user identification number necessary to keep you logged into our Site. You are free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, but some parts of our Site will not work properly.

Marketing Communications

If you opt in to receive marketing communications from us you consent to the processing of your data to send you such communications, which may include newsletters, blog posts, surveys and information about new events. We retain a record of your consent.

You can choose to no longer receive marketing communications by contacting us at contact@technofocus.co or contact@technofocus.eu or clicking unsubscribe from a marketing email. If you do unsubscribe to marketing communications, it may take up to 5 business days for your new preferences to take effect. We shall therefore retain your personal data in our records for marketing purposes until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from us.

We may use your personal information for the following purposes or as otherwise described at the time of collection:

Your Choices on Our Collection and Use of Your Personal Information

Users that opt in to receiving email communications regarding our products and services have the option to unsubscribe to such email communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of promotional emails or by emailing contact.sg@Technofocus.co.

You have choices with respect to cookies. Depending upon your chosen internet web browser, you may have the option to reject all cookies by modifying your

Please be aware that when you voluntarily disclose personal information (i.e. your name, email address, etc.) in any discussion forums or other public areas on this website, that such information becomes available to be collected and used by third parties, which may result in your receiving unsolicited messages from third parties. You also have the right at any time to require that we delete your personal data. Please note, we reserve the right to charge an administrative fee if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Our event ticket shop may contain links to other sites of interest. Once you have used these links to leave our event ticket shop, you should note that we do not have any control over that other site. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this policy. If any provision of this policy is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, then such provision shall be construed, as nearly as possible, to reflect the intentions of the parties and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Singapore, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.
